Is there a free AI video generator?
"Free AI video generator" is one of the most-searched terms — and the honest answer has nuance. AI video costs real compute, so truly unlimited-free tools are rare and usually watermark, cap, or downgrade quality. Here's how to think about it.
What "free" usually means
- A trial — a few free generations to test the product.
- Watermarked / low-res output on free tiers.
- Daily caps on the number of clips.
How Dora approaches it
Dora lets you sign up and try the platform, then runs on a simple credit system — you spend credits per generation, and each model has a clear, predictable cost. No surprise per-prompt pricing. See pricing for current plans and the free options.
Tips to stretch your credits:
- Draft on cheap models (Grok), finish the winner on a premium one. See best AI video generators in 2026.
- Keep clips short (4–6s) — shorter = cheaper.
- Lower resolution for drafts, 1080p only for finals.
The bottom line
There's no genuinely unlimited free AI video — compute isn't free. The best value is a tool with transparent credit pricing and many models under one subscription, so you're not paying separately for each. That's the model Dora uses.
