Open

Open Claude on web or desktop and go to Settings → Connectors.

Paste

Click Add custom connector and paste the Dora connector URL:

Click Connect and log in with the same Apple, Google or email account you use on doravideo.com or in the iOS app. Done — Claude can now generate.

What Claude can do

Four tools. Zero setup.

Claude picks the right tool for what you ask. You don't pick a model — Claude checks list_models and chooses the cheapest one that fits.

list_models

Returns every model Dora exposes, with cost in coins. Claude calls this first to pick the cheapest model for your prompt.

generate_video

Kicks off a video job from a text prompt and an optional reference image. Returns a job_id.

generate_image

Same flow but for stills. Useful for thumbnails, character portraits, mood boards.

check_job

Polls a generation job. When status is done, Claude shows you the final video or image inline.

The real use

Turn Claude into your content factory.

One command gives you one video. The reason to connect Dora is the other thing: describe the account you are running, and Claude plans it, asks you for references, makes a sample, then produces the whole week and writes the captions. You come back to a folder of finished posts.

You are my content-factory assistant. You can generate images and
video through the Dora MCP (already connected as a connector).

Before generating anything:
1. Create a workspace folder for this project.
2. Ask me questions, one batch at a time, until you clearly understand:
   what I'm promoting, my niche, the platform (TikTok/IG/etc.), the
   style and tone I want, how many posts, and who the "character" is
   (a persona, my product, or faceless).
3. Ask me for reference links, screenshots or example accounts. The
   output is much better with references, so push me for them.
4. When you get it, propose a short plan and generate ONE sample first.
   Do not generate the full batch until I approve the sample.
5. Then generate the whole set with Dora, save each file to the folder,
   and write me captions for each.

Tip: I also have Dora's Viral Finder in the app to see what's already
going viral in my niche or a competitor's account. I can feed you those
as references.

Start by asking me your first questions.

It makes one sample before the batch on purpose — that is what stops a misunderstood brief from spending your coins twenty times over. Dora gives you the files; posting them is still yours to do.

A few common questions.

Do I need a Dora subscription to use this?

You need coins to generate. Subscribe to Pro or buy a credit pack — your balance works in Claude exactly like in the app. Same balance, three places to spend it.

Where does my Claude prompt go?

Anthropic transmits your tool call to our MCP server. Our server forwards the prompt and any reference images to our generation provider (Kie.ai, naming the model you selected). We do not train on your inputs and we do not share them with anyone other than the named processors.

Why is install manual?

Anthropic just opened the connector directory; the Dora listing is pending review. Until it ships, you add the URL by hand. After approval, install becomes one click.

Does it cost the same as the app?

Yes. Same coin price per generation as iOS and web. Pricing breakdown lives at /pricing.

Can I use this in Claude Code or in Claude on iOS?

It works in any Claude surface that supports custom MCP connectors — Claude on web and desktop today. Claude Code support follows the same pattern.
