What Cursor can do

Four tools. Zero setup.

Cursor picks the right tool for what you ask. You don't pick a model. Cursor checks list_models and chooses the cheapest one that fits.

list_models

Returns every model Dora exposes, with cost in coins. Cursor checks this first to pick the cheapest model for your prompt.

generate_image

Kicks off an image job. Useful for placeholder art, UI mocks, hero shots, character portraits, marketing assets straight from your IDE.

generate_video

Kicks off a video job from a text prompt and an optional reference image. Great for product demos and landing-page hero videos.

check_job

Polls a generation job. When status is done, Cursor shows you the final asset inline plus a clickable URL to the original.

A few common questions.

Do I need a Dora subscription to use this?

You need coins to generate. Subscribe to Pro, Plus, or Max, or buy a credit pack. Your balance works in Cursor exactly like in the app and the web — same balance, multiple places to spend it.

Where does my Cursor prompt go?

Cursor sends the tool call to our MCP server at doravideo.com/mcp. The server forwards your prompt and any reference images to our generation provider (Kie.ai, naming the model selected). We do not train on your inputs and we do not share them with anyone other than the named processors.

Why does the OAuth flow open a browser?

Standard OAuth 2.1 with PKCE — Cursor opens a short-lived browser tab so you can authorize Dora without ever pasting an API key. Refresh tokens handle subsequent calls automatically.

Does it cost the same as the app?

Yes. Same coin price per generation as iOS and web. Pricing breakdown lives at /pricing.

Can I add this without the deep link?

Yes. In Cursor open Settings → Tools & Integrations → MCP, click Add new MCP server, and paste the URL https://doravideo.com/mcp. Same result as the deep link.
