How to turn a story script into an AI video series
Story channels are one of the fastest growing formats on YouTube Shorts and TikTok: mythology retold part by part, bedtime stories for kids, family dramas, history in sixty seconds. The script is the easy part. The hard part is a character who looks like the same person in episode 1 and in episode 19.
Here is the workflow on Dora that keeps your character consistent and turns each scene of your script into a clip.
1. Make your character once
Generate one clear image of your main character with an image model such as Nano Banana Pro: full face, simple background, the outfit they will wear in the series.
"Portrait of a young mother in a green shalwar kameez, warm smile, plain light background, soft daylight, photorealistic."
Save that image. It is your character sheet. Every scene in every episode starts from it, which is what keeps the face from changing.
2. Split the script into scenes
A clip is 4 to 10 seconds, so give each one a single moment:
- Episode 3, scene 1: she holds her newborn daughter for the first time.
- Scene 2: close-up of her face, tears of joy.
- Scene 3: the family gathers around the bed.
One sentence of story per clip reads better than a paragraph squeezed into one.
3. Animate each scene from the same photo
In Create, pick an image-to-video model, upload your character image and describe the scene and the camera:
"She gently lifts the baby, looks down and smiles, slow push-in, warm evening light, 9:16."
For scenes with two characters, models like Gemini Omni accept several reference photos, so you can bring in a second character sheet.
4. Add narration in your language
Switch Create to voice and paste the narration for the episode: Urdu, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish or English. You get an audio track you can lay under the clips.
5. Put the episode together
Drop the clips and the voice track into CapCut or any editor, add captions, and export vertical (9:16). Keep each episode under 60 seconds and end on the next scene's cliffhanger.
Doing it from ChatGPT or Claude
If you already write your scripts in ChatGPT or Claude, connect Dora there (ChatGPT, Claude) and ask it to split the script into scenes and generate each clip from your character image, without leaving the chat.
Tips that keep a series consistent
- Always start from the same character image. Never re-describe the face in words.
- Keep the outfit in the image, not the prompt. If the outfit changes in the story, make a second character sheet.
- Same aspect ratio and lighting words in every prompt so episodes match.
- Number your files (ep03-s01, ep03-s02) so editing takes minutes.
