What is Gemini Omni?
Gemini Omni is Google's "any-to-any" generative model — built to create video from whatever you give it: a text prompt, a few reference photos, or an existing video clip. The first model in the family, Gemini Omni Flash, is tuned for practical video creation and editing: natural-language edits, reference-guided generation, scene transformation, and coherent visual storytelling.
On Dora you can use Gemini Omni directly in the browser — no install, no waitlist.
"Any-to-any" — what that actually means
Most video models do one thing: text-to-video, or image-to-video. Gemini Omni collapses those into a single model that adapts to your inputs:
- Text → video. Describe a scene and get a clip back.
- Photos → video. Add up to 7 reference images to lock in a subject, character, product, or visual style.
- Video → video. Upload a short clip and transform it with a prompt — restyle it, change the scene, or continue the action.
Because it's one model, you don't have to pick the "right" tool up front. You bring the material you have, and Omni works with it.
What you can control
- Duration — 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds (text/image mode; in video mode the output length follows the source).
- Resolution — 720p, 1080p, or 4K.
- Aspect ratio — 16:9 for landscape, 9:16 for vertical/Reels.
- References — up to 7 images to guide subject and style.
What Gemini Omni is good at
- Reference-faithful generation. Feed it product shots or a character and it preserves the key details instead of inventing new ones.
- Editing real footage. The video-input mode is genuinely useful for transforming clips you already have, not just generating from scratch.
- Fast iteration. "Flash" is built for speed, so it's a good default when you want to try several variations quickly.
When to use something else
Gemini Omni is a strong all-rounder, but Dora gives you the whole roster:
- Want the highest-fidelity text-to-video? Try Veo 3.1.
- Cinematic image-to-video with audio? SeeDance 2.
- Just need a still image? Nano Banana Pro.
